OCD has been accepted into the common
Vernacular
And I’ve had enough
OCD isn’t quirky
It isn’t endearing
It’s fucking terrifying, a slideshow of your
Worst fears
OCD isn’t annoying
It’s desperation as you fumble to
Complete your next compulsion, knowing you’ll
Have to do it again in five minutes
OCD isn’t cute
It's darkness, it's painful, it's fighting it and
Only holding out for three minutes
OCD isn’t self-diagnosed
It isn’t a game
It’s a club
And I’ve been a VIP member
OCD isn’t trendy
It’s a life sentence
Note: Wrote this for a poetry slam. Really frustrated with people saying "I'm so OCD' all the damn time.
